RESTA MIDORI — 日本の緑から生まれた腕時計
RESTA MIDORI — Inspired by the Quiet Greens of Japan
The Japanese landscape is filled with countless shades of green.
Fresh leaves in spring, trees after the rain, moss-covered gardens, and the deep forests of summer.
Vivid yet calm, these greens subtly change with the light and the seasons. Inspired by this quiet and understated beauty of Japanese nature, we created RESTA MIDORI.

A Shade of Green That Changes with the Light
The dial features a deep green sunray finish.
Viewed straight on, it appears calm and subdued. As light moves across the surface, the radial brushing catches the light and reveals brighter, richer shades of green.
Its changing character throughout the day is part of what makes the dial distinctive.
To complement the green, we chose gold-tone hands and indexes — a classic combination reinterpreted through RESTA’s compact 36mm proportions and vintage-inspired design.

Why 36mm?
RESTA MIDORI uses the same 36mm case as the original RESTA.
After years in which larger watches dominated, classic case sizes have once again found their place on the wrist.
At 36mm, RESTA is designed to feel understated without disappearing. It has presence, but never demands attention.
For MONOGRIIS, the size also reflects something fundamental to our approach: rather than designing around a passing trend, we want to create watches that still feel natural to reach for many years from now.

Assembled One by One in Japan
Inside RESTA MIDORI is the Japanese MIYOTA 8N40 automatic movement, featuring a small seconds display. Through the sapphire exhibition caseback, the mechanical movement can be seen at work.
A box-shaped sapphire crystal, three-dimensional dot indexes, and a deep green lizard-embossed leather strap complete the design.
Each RESTA MIDORI is individually assembled and inspected in Japan before leaving our hands.

A Little Green in Everyday Life
The name MIDORI comes simply from the Japanese word for “green.”
It is a colour found not only in extraordinary landscapes, but everywhere in everyday life in Japan.
We wanted MIDORI to capture some of that feeling — something that does not need to be loud to catch your eye, and something you can continue to enjoy long after the first impression.
We hope RESTA MIDORI becomes the kind of watch you naturally find yourself reaching for, year after year.
